How I became a Homeopath
My interest in homeopathy began when my first daughter suffered from colic. Having been to Medical School with the intention of becoming a doctor, I tentatively went to a homeopath after having heard that he would be able to help. Sure enough, my daughter's colic was cured within 2 days, much to my amazement.
Further treatments for myself confirmed my view that homeopathy could be a viable alternative or used as a useful complementary system to orthodox medicine. This led to me switching from my medical training as a doctor, to starting a 4 year course in homeopathy. During my course I won a prize for "outstanding work" for my thesis on the role of homeopathy to help cure the side effects of vaccinations.
After having another 2 children, I completed my specialist paediatric training I now work on the Isle of Wight and specialise in Vaccine damage, Fertility, Pregnancy and Children as well as the Menopause.
What do I do?
I see patients at the Cowes Chiropractic Clinic, on the Isle of Wight. Adults' appointments take an hour and involve talking about the patient's symptoms, other physical problems as well as their emotional character. The appointments for children are shorter because it is often a stressful time for parents to have to talk and keep their child happy at the same time. Toys are provided and I will often gets down onto the floor to play with the child. First appointments are 45 minutes and follow-ups are 30 minutes. I also run a drop-in clinic for those who haven't got an appointment but need a ten minute consultation about a current ailment or illness.
